Job description

Physician – Primary Care – Grand Rapids, Michigan

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine & Pediatrics physician to have a unique primary care role.

This dynamic position is 80% clinical and 20% administrative with the clinical practice well supported by integrated resources including behavioral health, pharmacy and care managers. This allows you to focus on delivering high-quality, comprehensive care to both a traditional primary care population as well as a specialized population of patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Patients in the IDD population are ages 16 and up and are not medically complex. Extended time for patient visits as well as smaller panel sizes can be expected.

There is an opportunity to serve as medical director for this work as well.

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients as determined by your specialty scope of practice

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes

  • Participate in patient and family education to support wellness and chronic disease management

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical process enhancements
