Job description

Seeking Valets/Bellmen for an Upscale Lifestyle Resort located in Downtown Atlanta!!!

We are offering $12 per hour plus tips!!! 

Summary: Park vehicles and issue tickets for guests in a parking lot or garage

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests, assign parking space, and issue tags
  • Retrieve tags, locate vehicles, and deliver vehicles from parking lot or storage garage
  • Provide guest with information such as directions or wheelchair assistance, or instructions to locate their vehicles as needed
  • Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking area as required
  • Calculate parking fees to collect payment
  • Perform cash handling tasks such as making change, balancing, and recording cash in drawer, or distributing tips
  • Respond to guest complaints
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space availability and use
  • Inspect all vehicles for damage
  • Monitor parking area to prevent vehicle damage or property theft
  • Ensure guests are safe and escort guest to vehicle as needed
  • Respond to emergency situations and assist with guest issues such as a flat tire, dead battery, etc.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School education, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • A valid state drivers license with a current address and acceptable driving record required
  • Able to drive a manual transmission required
  • Able to work flexible hours, including holidays, nights/evenings, and weekends
  • Able to successfully complete background and drug screening, including an MVR

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
  • Add, subtract, two- digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s, perform these operations using units of American money
  • Pleasant with others, good-natured, cooperative attitude
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Honest and ethical
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the spelling and meaning of words

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be exposed to construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position is performed inside as well as outside weather conditions. Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
