DescriptionOpportunity Details:

Consider joining a fun, dynamic group that staffs a single Emergency Department with approximately 42,000 annual ED visits! We are seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician or a BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join our independent group, Green Bay Emergency Medicine Services (GEMS). We are also seeking candidates who have an interest in EMS/Disaster Medicine, Urgent Care, or Observation Medicine as we are poised for growth.

GEMS has been the only group to staff Bellin Hospital with a stable contract for over 20 years. As a member of Bellin Health Partners, a clinically integrated network system, GEMS works in partnership with Bellin Health and other independent practices to create value through improved patient experience and quality and affordable care that has a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the community.

You will find Green Bay to be a competitive healthcare environment. Our community includes two comprehensive stroke centers, with Bellin Hospital being a primary stroke center, and two level 2 trauma centers. While traumatically injured patients are routinely seen at the site, Bellin Hospital does not currently participate in the state trauma program.

  • Staff a single site Hospital Emergency Department in Green Bay, WI (Bellin Hospital)
  • Equitable scheduling process with currently two nocturnists that cover most nights
  • Opening is available for either for BC/BE Emergency Medicine trained Physician or a Family Practice Physician
  • Family Practice physicians work alongside BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physicians to deliver care in the Emergency Department
  • Family Practice Physicians never work without an Emergency Medicine Physician
  • Highly skilled support staff and Advanced Practice Clinicians
  • 6 bed KidCare department - staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists from 4:30-9:30pm
  • On Site Radiology and Lab services
  • Robust Specialty Support with OB and pediatrics in house 24/7 and a strong cooperative relationship with the hospitalists and intensivists
  • Epic EMR
  • Partnership track with minimal buy in for Emergency Physicians
  • Ability to teach Medical Students, Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitioners
