Job description

Musculoskeletal and Pain Medicine practice with several locations across Las Vegas area is seeking BE/BC Anesthesiologist trained physicians to join its fantastic team.

An actively licensed Anesthesiology/Pain Management Physician is needed to join our team and help care for our current patients. Successful candidates will have a solid knowledge of pain management and be experienced in surgeries related to the treatment of pain. As an outpatient clinic, our Pain Management Physician will be responsible for performing procedures, recommending medication and working with patients to create treatment plans tailored to their specific pain needs.

  • Outpatient only position with emphasis on interventional pain medicine, neuromodulation, and functional recovery.
  • 15-30 patients seen per day with assistance of a nurse practitioner
  • Team of 4 pain anesthesiologist and 5 nurse practitioners
  • Each practice location integrates outpatient clinic, diagnostic laboratory, physical therapy, diagnostic imaging, urgent care and ambulatory surgery center.
  • Physician must be able to work as a team leader in a multidisciplinary setting and collaborate daily with fellow physicians, mid-level providers, and ancillary staff members for the benefit of patients.
  • Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8a - 6p but last patient is scheduled 4:30pm
  • No evening or weekend call
  • Providers rotates among the 6 centers, usually monthly.
  • Monitor patient reactions to surgery and anesthesia.
  • Administer pain medication to lessen the intensity of post-surgical pain.
  • Use appropriate methods of monitoring a patient's vital signs during surgery and recovery.
  • Review patient records to identify potential risks and complications before, during, and after surgery; able to identify the effects of anesthesia on various organs before, during, and after surgery.
  • Dispense medications that may be used during or after surgery;.
  • Serve as an expert in airway management including specialized techniques such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy, video laryngoscopy, and one lung ventilation
  • Use specialized equipment including, but not limited to specialized monitoring devices, laryngoscopes, bronchoscopes, ventilators, and ultrasounds
  • Evaluate for and perform anesthetics including monitored anesthesia care, general anesthesia, and/or regional anesthesia as is appropriate for the patient
  • Placement of invasive monitoring as is appropriate for the patient
  • Provide acute and chronic pain management
