Job description

SUMMARY:

The Senior Network Administrator shall demonstrate experience in facility operations, network administration, data management, information security and/or information management. This experience shall include work with various network protocols, test equipment, diagnostics, Visio and AutoCAD as well as more complex network engineering tasks and systems studies including planning, design, development, and modifications of existing planned voice and data communications, network systems and subsystems.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Possess the ability to install and maintain network switches, routers, fiber optic, coaxial and twisted-pair cable plants.
• Possess the ability to install and maintain associated software, voice, video and data networks (VTC) and wireless communications.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Specific experience with: Crestron, Extron, FOX3, Cisco VTCs, Q-SYS, SHURE, Dante, Belkin Secure KVMs, Microsoft Teams, Fiber Optic Distribution.

• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:


• At least 5 years of system administration experience.

• Certifications: AVIXA – Certified Technology Specialist (CTS/CTS-D/CTS-I) or OEM equivalent (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS).
• 5+ years supporting complex AV integration, with at least 2 years in a secure military government, or hi-availability enterprise environment managing secure Extron, Crestron, and Q-sys systems.
• Must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI.
• As per Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, this position shall require Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher with certification in Networking Technologies.
• The Senior Network Administrator is required to maintain the DoD 8140.01 IAT Level 2 certification for the life of the contract.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:


Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
