Employment Type: Full-Time, 37.5+ hours

POSITION SUMMARY

Delaware’s leading private nonprofit agency serving the autism community statewide seeks a candidate to support contracted Behavioral Services funded through Delaware’s Division of Developmental Services. This position is a key member of the Adult Services Leadership Team. The role will deliver, support, monitor, and supervise registered behavioral Technicians (RBT) providing services through programs at Autism Delaware. The position requires an experienced BCBA to lead, support the development of service budgets, and ensure compliance with all audits of service and financial statements. The role fosters relationships with Autism Delaware’s many constituencies, including families, self-advocates, state agencies, and donors. As an organizational leader, the role supports communications and fundraising initiatives. It maintains best practices in all areas of responsibility and provides the executive director with assistance as needed.

This position is supervised by the Executive Director and/or Liaison.

Location: Based in Newark, Delaware, with offices in Dover and Lewes.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time exempt position, minimum 37.5 hours per week
  • Must be available for occasional evening and weekend responsibilities and emergency response
  • Travel required between agency sites and to local, regional, and national meetings and conferences

  • Must be able to participate in meetings, training, and events that require prolonged sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of materials

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  1. Master level or higher relating to the core area of responsibility
  2. BCBA Credential is required
  3. Min two years’ experience in human services or nonprofit organizations.
  4. Facility in written and spoken English.
  5. High level of personal organization.
  6. High level of proficiency with computers.
  7. Must be sensitive to and willing to work with clients from highly diverse backgrounds that include race, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, physical and mental health history, and socio-economic status.
  8. Must be willing and flexible regarding location of delivery service to clients.
  9. Frequent travel is required between agency sites and to various local and as needed regional, or national locations.
  10. Valid driver’s license required.
