Summary:

The Ädelbrook, Inc. Clinical Intern will complete tasks and responsibilities that are in line with their academic internship requirements set forth by their respective colleges/universities as well as the field placement of Adelbrook. Some of these tasks and responsibilities are outlined in their educational contract that is developed jointly by the Clinical Intern and the Field Instructor at Adelbrook and submitted to their college/university. This will also depend on the type of internship/level of education ie Bachelor’s versus Master’s degree internship.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Completes hours set forth by their college/university internship requirements and the schedule is decided upon between the Field Instructor and Clinical Intern

· Shadows Clinical Coordinator including clinical services, case management, during meetings and other relevant job duties

· Provides clinical services including, but not limited to: facilitating/co-facilitating clinical groups and facilitating/co-facilitating individual and family sessions as relevant. Specific assignments/responsibilities are dependent upon type of internship ie. Bachelor’s vs. Master’s level

· Attends internal meetings (Treatment Team Review meetings, psychiatric rounds) and external meetings (treatment meetings, case review meetings with guardians and funders, PPTs)

· Completes relevant documentation including, but not limited to: progress notes, contact notes, treatment plans, monthly reports to Beacon Health, psychosocial notes, discharge summaries, PPT reports and assignments/responsibilities are dependent on type/level of internship

· Consults with Field Instructor for relevant coursework assignments including, but not limited to: submitting (in a timely manner) the assigned number of process recordings to field instructor for review and feedback

· Meets with field instructor weekly for an hour of supervision

· Completes all required orientations and trainings at field placement

· Collaborates and communicates with clinical services staff, behavioral services staff, contracted professional staff and administrative staff to meet the needs of residents/clients

· Maintains professionalism/adheres to agency procedures at all times including, but not limited to: being punctual, communicating with Field Instructor as needed, maintaining professional interactions with clients and colleagues, and wearing appropriate attire

· Meet with college/university Faculty Advisor and Field Instructor during the year to update on progress

· Performs all other relevant internship duties as assigned by their Field Instructor at Adelbrook, as well as the Director of Residential, Lead Social Worker, Director of Therapeutic Group Homes, Assistant Director of Therapeutic Group Homes, and/or Director of Education setting depending on particular location of internship
