As a mental health counselor at Life Edge, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and concerns, utilizing standardized tools as part of the evaluation process.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique circumstances and goals of each client.
• Providing one-on-one therapy sessions employing diverse therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
• Setting and monitoring therapeutic goals, ensuring clients track their progress, which helps in adjusting treatment plans when necessary.
• Delivering teletherapy services, ensuring accessibility for clients facing mobility, transportation, or time constraints.
• Maintaining meticulous client records and documentation in compliance with ethical standards and state regulations.
• Actively participating in regular case consultations with fellow professionals to share insights and strategies to enhance client care.
• Engaging in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training opportunities to keep abreast of the latest psychological practices.

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals facing various challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will be critical in fostering a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their feelings and work toward recovery.

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to connect empathetically with clients.
• A passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, essential for managing caseloads effectively.

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, those with experience in teletherapy, trauma-informed care, and integrated medical settings will be given preference. Previous work in community health clinics or similar environments is also advantageous, as it provides a foundational understanding of the needs of diverse populations.
