Position Purpose: You will actively oversee clients struggling with addiction, ensuring the provision of daily counseling sessions, including individual, case management, group, and educational activities, within a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborate within a team to deliver comprehensive addiction treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating the integration of recovery principles into their daily lives. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients and their families as they navigate the challenges of addiction and work towards sustainable recovery.

Sign-on Bonus of $4,000 paid out within 2 years of hire. $250 will be paid during your first pay period.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements
  • Must have own transportation
  • Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or able to be certified within 24 months

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work hours prescribed by the leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  • Direct contact and counseling that includes supervision and management of the behavior of the clients and provides appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  • Implement therapeutic activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
  • Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the addiction counselor in developing and implementing the individual treatment plan and scheduling individual sessions to assist the clients with AA step work and treatment plan objectives.
  • Ensure that client service record is maintained consistent with laws, rules and regulations.
  • Develop and present all clients lectures listed on the client lecture schedule.
  • Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics.
  • Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
  • General cleaning duties as required.
  • Consult with the members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
  • Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts, counselors, teachers, etc.
  • Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of the equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs are indicated.
  • Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  • Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.

  • Starting pay HS/GED - $18.43 per hour
  • Starting pay Associates - $19.37 per hour

  • CADC Certification: $1,500 Annualized Increase

Shift Differentials

2nd shift: +$.25/hr

3rd shift:+$.50

Incentives: $0.50/hr with CADC certification
