Life Edge Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Focused Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. We prioritize a trauma-informed approach, focusing on treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders through evidence-based methodologies.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work environment that caters to the varying needs of our therapists and clients. You will operate in a telehealth setting, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to connect with and support your clients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma backgrounds and tailor appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process trauma and learn essential coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and supportive demeanor.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping strategies to empower them in their healing journey.
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who are navigating the complex journey of trauma recovery, focusing on those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in empowering these individuals to reclaim their stories and enhance their emotional resilience. Your compassionate and empathetic approach will be vital in building trusting therapeutic relationships that facilitate healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly within trauma-informed care.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and best practices in trauma therapy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a solid foundation in compassionate care.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in implementing trauma-focused therapies.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to streamline patient management.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism during high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits
