Connect for Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace. Since 2013, we've been helping individuals, families, and small employers compare plans, apply for financial help, and buy health insurance. As Colorado's official health insurance marketplace, we are the only place to apply for financial help to lower the monthly cost of premiums. Customers can shop online; get help by phone or online chat from Customer Service Center representatives; and access expert help from a statewide network of certified Brokers and community-based Assisters. Position Summary:


Connect for Health Colorado is seeking a Product Data Analyst to help our product teams make better decisions using trustworthy, meaningful data. This role sits within the Product Analytics & Strategy team, part of Product Operations, which helps product teams integrate data into how they explore problems, plan solutions, and measure success. Our goal is to ensure product teams have easy access to well-defined data and feel confident using it to guide their decisions.


As a Product Data Analyst, you will work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, product operations, and analytics partners to turn product data into clear insights about customer behavior, product performance, and opportunities for improvement. You will focus on hands-on analysis, dashboard development, and measurement of product outcomes, helping product teams understand whether their work is delivering real value for customers.


Position Responsibilities:


Help Product Teams Make Data-Informed Decisions

  • Analyze product usage and customer journey data to identify meaningful patterns and opportunities to improve product outcomes
  • Partner with product managers to identify key product questions and ensure analysis and reporting support product planning, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform product decisions
  • Contribute analysis that helps teams evaluate trade-offs, risks, and opportunities

Measure Product Performance and Impact

  • Implement measurement plans for new features, experiments, and product initiatives
  • Analyze product adoption, engagement, and usage patterns
  • Help evaluate whether product changes achieve intended customer and business outcomes
  • Surface opportunities to improve product performance based on data trends

Build Dashboards and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that track product health and key performance metrics
  • Ensure dashboards are clear, intuitive, and aligned with shared metric definition. ย 
  • Create repeatable reporting that enables teams to independently monitor performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure reporting supports real decision-making needs

Enable Teams to Use Product Data

  • Coach product teams through interpreting analytics dashboards and reports
  • Provide guidance on how to use product analytics tools and metrics effectively
  • Create documentation and usage guidance that enables self-service reporting
  • Provide day-to-day support on product data, metrics, dashboards, and analytics tool usage

Promote Reliable and Trustworthy Product Data

  • Model established standards for product data collection, metrics, and reporting
  • Help identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Partner with business intelligence, data engineering, and other data teams when product data needs alignment with enterprise reporting
  • Contribute to clear documentation of data sources, data definitions, and metrics

Work Across the Product Data Ecosystem

  • Analyze product data using tools such as Pendo, Power BI, and Snowflake
  • Analyze and incorporate data from product development tools such as Jira to help teams understand delivery progress and product outcomes.
  • Collaborate with product, UX research, and business intelligence partners to connect product insights with broader organizational data

Requirements

  • Colorado resident
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a product, digital, or analytics environment
  • Experience querying (e.g. SQL) and working with product or behavioral data to generate insight
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Ability to identify when data or metrics appear inconsistent and investigate root causes
  • Skill in translating data into insights that inform product and business decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Curiosity and critical thinking

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, analytics, or a related field
  • Experience with product analytics tools (e.g. Pendo, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
  • Familiarity with tools and workflows that support the product development lifecycle (e.g. Jira, roadmap tools)
  • Experience working in an agile or iterative product development environment
  • Background in product management, business intelligence, or similar

Work Environment:

  • Currently working remotely.
  • The Connect for Health Colorado office is located in the North Tech Center area of Denver, near the intersection of I-25 and I-225.
  • Work schedule may include some non-traditional hours, weekends, and evening events.
  • Core office hours are typically 8 am-5 pm with some flexibility.

Connect for Health Colorado employees are eligible to participate in the organization's 403(b) plan and are additionally provided with paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance. ย The salary range for this position is $72,100 - $94,760 per year.
