Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for our Detox and Mental Health facility who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals battling behavioral health challenges. If you're a dedicated, empathetic, and skilled detox and mental health technician, we’d love to meet you!

What You'll Do

  • Assist the nursing staff in the responsibility for day-to-day processing of new admissions
  • Serve as a support for patients entering treatment in the facility.
  • Observe all patient activity, maintain a visible presence on the patients in and outside the campus, and circulate throughout the treatment center’s facility.
  • Assist patients’ daily activities and ADL’s, as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and treatment team, documenting pertinent observations to support treatment team and assist the patient.
  • Recognize and respond to crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions.
  • Supervise patients while they are unpacking/packing
  • Maintain orderly conduct of patients, ensuring the safety of all patients.
  • Conduct searches of patient property and removes all contraband.
  • Observe urinalysis exams.
  • Transport patients to and from the emergency room and/or doctor’s appointments when necessary using company vehicle.

What You Need

  • Current CPR Certification or must be obtained
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles, if required
  • Certification or associate degree in behavioral health
  • Experience working in a mental health institution or psychiatric facility
