Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team at our Residential Treatment Center in Hollywood, FL.
Our residential level of care provides 24/7 structured, live-in treatment for adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Patients receive intensive clinical support in a safe, therapeutic environment designed to promote stability, recovery, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care, supervision, and support to patients in a residential setting
  • Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention when necessary
  • Build positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and team members
  • Maintain a safe and structured environment for all patients
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the clinical team
  • Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Model appropriate professional behavior and maintain healthy boundaries
  • Support a positive peer culture through reinforcement and engagement

Qualifications
  • Experience working with the mental health and/or substance use population required
  • Must have a valid and clear driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a Level II Background Screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations

Schedule Requirements
  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Weekend availability is required
