Job description

Do you love teaching children new skills? Are you tired of spending time alone in the car and providing home-based services away from your co-workers? Are you ready to build your skills and work toward a career in behavioral services? Follow your passion for helping children and families while working for a company that appreciates you! The Learning Consultants provides clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism and their families. We are seeking individuals who are driven to help others using an effective, science-based approach.

We offer full and part-time schedules at our Sparks and Reno-based clinics. We have full-time, evening, and (limited) morning shifts available. Full-time shifts are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm. Part-time shifts are Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm or 3:30pm-6:30pm. All shifts have occasional (~2/quarter) Saturdays.

Behavior technicians deliver 1:1 behavioral intervention to children, following a treatment plan developed by a Licensed Behavior Analyst. In Nevada, behavior technicians must hold a registration (RBT) with both the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (bacb.com) and the NV State Board of Applied Behavior Analysis (nvababoard.org). At the LC, we providepaid trainingand support you in obtaining these credentials so you are confident and prepared to provide excellent care to our learners.

To be successful at the LC as a behavior technician, first and foremost, you must have a love for children and know how to play, be silly, and have FUN! Timeliness in completing job readiness activities, reliability, and diligence in adhering to compliance requirements related to delivering medical services is also very important.

The process of obtaining a state RBT credential can take six to eight weeks, during which time, you earn a training rate while completing our internal job readiness program. After completing the program and obtaining your registration, you are qualified for a position as a registered behavior technician. You also qualify for our excellent benefits program, including 3 weeks of PTO, health insurance for eligible employees, a retirement plan with employer match, and more.

Working as an RBT is an excellent way to gain experience if you are pursuing a career in behavior analysis, psychology, or related fields. We provide high-quality training and supervision, includingpaidfieldwork experience and an internal career path (including toward non-clinical positions) for qualified individuals pursuing fieldwork experience toward a BCaBA or BCBA. Clinic-based work allows for frequent interactions with your team and supervisors in a highly supportive environment. We provide generous paid admin time and we guarantee your schedule - you will have the opportunity to work even if a learner's session is canceled.
