Position Summary: The Safety Coordinator ensures a safe workplace and OSHA compliance by collaborating with Operations Personnel to implement proactive, behavior-based safety practices. Key responsibilities include fostering personal accountability, preventing incidents, and conducting audits and risk assessments to sustain regulatory and company compliance.
Essential Functions:
Conduct audits, hazard analysis of project operations, and assist in updating and maintaining company safety manual.
May provide training for New Hire Orientation, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10, Competent Person and other OSHA mandated training Asbestos.
Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance.
Hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.
Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies and/or procedures.
Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections.
C ultivate positive and productive working relationships with customer representatives to ensure they are satisfied with our safe work practices and procedures, and work with crews to correct any issues that arise.
Promote and champion corporate training systems and services with a deep commitment to safety and quality.
Prepare, schedule, and conduct regular crew audits
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper PPE use and hazard identification.
Provide training for employees on safety standards, including OSHA, and company-specific safety policies.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct risk assessments and develop job-specific safety plans.
Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements.
Must be willing to travel throughout the United States.
Other duties as assigned.
