Behavior Based Safety Jobs in Georgia (NOW HIRING)

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program across our construction projects and manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for developing a proactive safety culture, ensuring OSHA compliance, reducing workplace incidents, conducting training, and partnering with leadership to create a world-class safety program.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience supporting industrial construction, manufacturing facilities, fabrication shops, heavy equipment operations, mechanical contractors, and field personnel. This position will work closely with project managers, operations, maintenance, HR, and executive leadership to ensure every employee returns home safely every day.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives throughout multiple construction sites and manufacturing facilities.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

• Conduct routine safety inspections, facility audits, and jobsite observations.

• Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and risk assessments.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

• Lead incident reporting and maintain OSHA 300 logs and all required compliance documentation.

• Develop corrective and preventative action plans.

• Coordinate and conduct new employee safety orientation and onboarding.

• Deliver ongoing safety training including:

  • OSHA standards

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

  • Confined Space Entry

  • Fall Protection

  • PPE

  • Machine Guarding

  • Hot Work

  • Crane Safety

  • Forklift Safety

  • Electrical Safety

  • Hazard Communication

  • Respiratory Protection

• Manage contractor safety compliance.

• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring when required.

• Ensure emergency response procedures are current and practiced.

• Coordinate emergency drills and evacuation exercises.

• Manage workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs.

• Track and analyze leading and lagging safety indicators.

• Prepare weekly and monthly EHS reports for executive leadership.

• Participate in customer safety meetings and project kickoffs.

• Maintain safety records, permits, certifications, and inspection reports.

• Collaborate with operations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Promote employee engagement and a behavior-based safety culture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• 5+ years of Safety Management experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environments.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.

• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to influence all levels of an organization.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Experience leading safety committees.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

• Ability to travel to multiple project locations when needed.

• Valid driver's license.
