Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Inspector to join the $19.5 billion Redevelopment Program at JFK Airport. The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for site safety, scheduling inspections, observing field testing, and commissioning of the airfield work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule inspections, observation of field testing, and commissioning.
  • Assists in the preparation and negotiations of construction change orders and the preparation of weekly / monthly project reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining managing reports, daily narratives, quantities installed, classified logs and time and material tickets.
  • Monitor Contractor’s conformance with drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor Contractor compliance with the Contractor’s Safety and Health Plan and with specific safe work plans and ensures Contractor’s compliance with the approved Contractor’s Quality Plan.
  • Prepare punch lists with the owner upon completion of the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience working on electrical low voltage building projects.
  • Prior aviation experience is preferred.
  • Must possess an OSHA 30 before first day of employment.

Salary: $40/hour - $50/hour
