Description
Secondary Education Teacher
Job Description
• The secondary teacher will be working with student in the grades 7 through 12.
Ages ranging from 11-18 years.
• The secondary teacher is assigned to teach the subject they are qualified to
teach.
• The secondary teacher is responsible in managing his/her classroom to ensure
proper behavior and safety of the students.
• The secondary teacher will develop a lesson plan and provide specialized
instruction with appropriate accommodations and modifications in their classroom, and
provide a hard copy of the lesson plan on a weekly basis to the front office.
• The secondary teacher is responsible in maintain an accurate hard copy of
his/her attendance as well as logging attendance in a timely manner on the NASIS
Program following the guidelines and procedures that the NASIS coordinator provides.
• The secondary teacher is responsible in maintain a gradebook of his/her
students' work using the Gradebook on NASIS.
• The secondary teacher is responsible to attend all Professional Development and
other trainings required by the school.
• The secondary teacher will comply with the Dishchii'bikoh Community School
Employee Handbook approved by the Cibecue Community School Board Inc.
• The secondary teacher is responsible in maintaining and updating the required
clearances (finger prints, RAP sheet etc.) and Arizona Department of Education
certification according to NCLB regulations for Highly Qualified Teachers.
• The secondary teacher should manage student behavior in the classroom by
invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
• The secondary teacher should have communicated with parents, student and
collaborate with the general education teachers and other service providers to ensure
students learning is occurring in the general education classroom
• The secondary teacher will perform other duties as assigned by the immediate
supervisor/principal.

Requirements
Qualifications:
• This position requires Arizona Department of Education Secondary Education
Teacher Certification in any Subject Knowledge, or a Provisional Transfer, Teaching
Intern Certificate, or CTE Certificate.
• The applicant must be able to pass both state and federal finger print clearance
as well as provide a police report (RAP sheet) from the last five years of residence.
• If an applicant is not a US citizen or a US permanent resident, the applicant
should submit a proof of work authorization or legal status to work in the US.
• This position is needed for the school year 2026-2027.
