Job description

Location(s): Haymarket, Bristow, Gainesville, and Manassas
Pay: $14.00-$15.00
Hours: No weekends! Part-time (mornings and/or afternoons)! The before-school hours are 6:00-9:15 AM, and the after-school hours are 3:00-6:30 PM.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader Assistant, you'll help shape meaningful before and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.
We're looking for an early learning professional who:
  • Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
  • Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
  • Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Keep the space clean and organized
  • Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
  • Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
