Job description

The Hopewell Brewing Company is in need of an experienced craft beer packaging professional. This position will work closely with the entire brewery production team, and will report to the Brewmaster and Co-Founder of Hopewell Brewing Company. Primary responsibilities are related to personnel scheduling and management, schedule execution, operational efficiency, equipment troubleshooting, and quality assurance. The person in this role will be expected to work the canning line alongside Hopewellโ€™s packaging team.

The successful applicant will bring a mix of mechanical and technical skills along with a passion for craft beer quality, efficiency and safety.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Executing the packaging schedule
  • Ensuring all packaging equipment is in good working order and kept up to date on preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting issues that may arise with a strong solutions oriented mindset.
  • Install new equipment to the canning line as we grow.
  • Working with the packaging team to constantly improve our packaging process to increase efficiency and the quality of the product.
  • As needed, create SOPs to improve operational efficiency and quality of packaged beer.
  • Scheduling the team to achieve the necessary volume of beer to fulfill all distribution and demand needs.
  • Lead the packaging team by example, embody a positive โ€œcan-doโ€ attitude.
  • Training new hires in conjunction with the Head Brewer
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in production packaging setting. Craft beer experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical experience, specifically in packaging.
  • Strong demonstrated leadership and communication skills required. Experience in a training role desired.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, multitasking, and mechanical skills required.
  • MS Office and general computing skills required. Ability to work and communicate effectively with other departments to meet production needs.
  • Alignment with Hopewellโ€™s values and ability to adhere to the company code of conduct.
  • Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000. Salary is determined by the candidateโ€™s demonstrated mechanical skill and related experience.
