LDF is recruiting to fill the position of Part Time Merchandiser in Mcpherson, KS for the Sales Support department. This will be twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays for roughly 4-6 hours per week.
As a Part Time Merchandiser he/she will work in Off Premise accounts in conjunction with both the Advanced Salesman and Delivery Driver, under the supervision of the Area Sales Manager stocking shelves and building displays in licensed retail accounts maintaining strict adherence to Quality Assurance procedures. Works in a professional and thorough manner in an entry level position on the sales team and accepts accountability for personal performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage time effectively to cover daily demands and to follow the designated itinerary.
  2. Pull product from back stock and replenish cold shelves and displays.
  3. Rotate beer according to code dates.
  4. Identify and notify manager of out-of-code product.
  5. Communicate product that are out of stock to manager.
  6. Hang permanent POS and support LDF POS standards.
  7. Build merchandise displays and cross merchandise with related products.
  8. Organize backroom for ease in pulling product for shelf and staging to help driver on deliveries.
  9. Perform such other duties as deemed necessary by Area Sales Manager.

Qualifications: Completion of necessary training program. Position requires knowledge of types of displays and how to produce them. Know how to read codes dates on products with an understanding of how to rotate products accordingly. Possess knowledge of POS zones and competent in choosing locations as well as an understanding and adhering to LDF POS standards. Mus have an in-depth knowledge of company policies most specifically LDF Quality Program, procedures, and operations to also include applicable State laws governing handling of products containing alcohol. Also must have an in-depth knowledge of every brand and package in LDF portfolio and distribution thereof. Possess grooming and hygiene consistent with maintaining good customer relations.
Education/Experience: Prefer high school degree or equivalent.
Language Ability: Interpersonal skills to deal with customers effectively and in a professional manner. Have the capability of effectively communicating with management regarding changes on in-store change requirements and related retail product display issues.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Employee must possess the ability to apply common sense understandingto carry out specific written or oral instructions and to resolve customer service problems. Position requires basic decision making ability.
Certificates and Licenses: Current drivers' license.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Individual will typically be in retail stores 2-5 days per week. Schedule is flexible depending upon retail needs and demands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to read product labels and printed instruction on electronic devices and paper. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposure to weather conditions, sudden changes in indoor temperatures working in and out of refrigeration and coolers.
