Job description

Caviness Beef Packers is seeking a driven and results-oriented full-time production scheduler for our Corporate Offices in Amarillo. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who understands our products and processes and is looking to grow within a fast-paced wholesale beef distribution environment after training. This role focuses on scheduling beef production necessary to complete customer orders. Works closely with sales and plant operations with a strong emphasis on product knowledge, specifications, and internal process understanding. Success in this role is driven by the ability to execute, communicate, and balance customer orders with plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Serve as a resource on cuts, specs, yields, and program offerings
  • Manage accounts, including order entry, follow-up, and issue resolution
  • Act as a key link between customers, production, and logistics to ensure execution
  • Take ownership of orders from entry through delivery to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate with operations, production scheduling, and logistics to ensure fulfillment
  • Align customer demand with production capabilities and inventory

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an agricultural field or equivalent education and experience preferred
  • Experience in beef related industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of beef cuts, specifications, and operational processes preferred
