Night Production Scheduler responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Position Summary:  The primary responsibility is to support daily plant production with focus on National Beef’s three beef processing plants.  This also includes managing multiple customer needs, creating production schedules, and arranging the daily shipment of finished goods within National Beef’s system.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a daily production schedule
  • Coordinate the daily shipment of all finished goods
  • Respond to sales/customer inquiries in a prompt & courteous manner
  • Communicate with plant personnel to resolve any production issues
  • Collaborate with the scheduling staff to meet future customer demand
  • Other tasks & projects as requested by management & plant personnel

General Hours:   M-F 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

                           Some weekend work required 

This is an on-site position.


Qualified candidates for the Night Shift Scheduler position should possess the following:

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Capability to gather, process & analyze large amounts of data
  • Thrive in stressful and ever-changing circumstances
  • Interact with all types of personalities and levels of authority (plant personnel, customers, etc)
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills
  • Responsive to intellectual challenges, including customer & management inquiries
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills

Must have:           

  • Some college or comparable experience in or with the beef or pork industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Creativity, reasoning & problem-solving ability

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of beef production, including cuts of beef
  • Familiarity with transportation, including receiving & shipping
  • Experience in production scheduling & forecasting

Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
