Job description

Overview
Responsible for ground beef maintenance operations to include maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment, utilities operations, preventative maintenance, environmental systems and plant refurbishment and renovations. Employees in these jobs operate industrial equipment and tools as part of their daily duties. These jobs ensure that all plant equipment, mechanical systems, and electronic systems are operational and downtime is kept to a minimum.
While performing the duties the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list)
Responsibilities
May operate heavy machinery
Use a variety of tools in order to repair, retrieve and maintain all equipment in working order
Conduct daily set-up of area and troubleshoot
Must follow instructions for their specific assigned tasks.
Working around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity
Ensuring safety, food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT
Ability to lift up to 80lbs
Must be able to work 10-12 hour shifts.
All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.
