Job description

Beechtree Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is consistently striving to deliver the greatest level of customer satisfaction. Join our team as we collectively provide the best care for our residents.

We are in search of a Dietitian to work 5 days a week.

As the Registered Dietitian, you are to assess the residents' nutritional and health needs. You are to counsel the residents on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits. You will be working alongside the Food Services Department to develop and plan meals taking both the residents' preferences and budgets into account.

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary health care team.

  • Perform nutritional assessments of all residents upon admission, readmission, quarterly, and annually and on a needed basis.

  • Develop individualized care plans for each resident.

  • Completion of MDS.

  • Attend any and all meetings related to the food service department and the provision of nutrition service.

  • Participate in comprehensive care plan meetings.

  • Completes monthly weight notes and conducts monthly weight meetings.

  • Attend in-service training programs to obtain the most up-to-date information.

  • Maintain professional competence through participation in seminars/continuing education activities.

  • Work in conjunction with the Supervisor to ensure accuracy of diets/meal service.

  • Participate in meal rounds to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of services.

  • Act as liaison with other departments to ensure provision of appropriate nutritional care.

  • Participate in QA/QI audits, as assigned.

  • Supervise kitchen staff/tray line, as needed, as requested.

  • Maintain on-going compliance with regulatory agency requirements.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have, at a minimum, 1 year(s) experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facilities.
  • Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures and the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in the Facility.
  • RD or CDN preffered but not required.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
