Job description

St. Luke s Baptist Hospital (a Tenet Healthcare facility) is seeking Locum Neurohospitalist physicians to support a critical inpatient/telestroke service line beginning December 22, 2025. This need includes immediate holiday coverage priority and will transition into an ongoing 7-on/7-off schedule. The facility is open to multiple physicians to build a dependable coverage pool.

Position Details
  • Setting: Inpatient Neurohospitalist + Telestroke

  • Hours: 24-hour coverage (days + unrestricted evening/overnight call)

  • Call Type: Beeper; 30-minute response required

  • Average Daily Volume:

    • 15 patients total

    • 4 5 Neurology consults/day

    • 4 Telestroke calls/day

  • No admissions

  • No supervision required (no residents, no APP oversight)

Requirements
  • Board Certified Neurologist

  • Active Texas license required- We can help with TX licensure for candidates with an active IMLC LOQ.

  • BLS required- We can help with Life Support certification if needed.

Travel & Other Info
  • Travel, lodging, and insurance are handled through IPL Health Staffing
