House Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO 63146
Employment Type: Part-time, 10-15 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible weekday hours, 2-3 days/week (ideally Tuesday or Wednesday shifts are included). Work performed independently while family is at the office.
Compensation: $28-32 per hour, depending on experience

About Our Family
We're a busy, loving household with two young children and five beloved pets. Both parents work full-time in office settings, which creates a need for reliable behind-the-scenes support to keep the home running smoothly. The household includes two dogs and three kittens who are fully part of daily life, making pets a thoughtful and integrated part of the role.
A cleaning service visits every other Thursday, and the family highly values someone who can proactively manage day-to-day organization, tidying, and household systems between those visits. This includes maintaining order in high-traffic areas, as well as overseeing basic home upkeep and household supplies.

Key Responsibilities
Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Create and maintain organization systems throughout the home, particularly in the mudroom, kitchen, and kids' playroom
  • Perform daily resets including light tidying, dishes, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
  • Prepare the home for the cleaning service (ideally Tuesday or Wednesday before their Thursday visit)
  • Change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as needed
  • Occasional seasonal swaps for kids' clothing and bedding
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Occasional deep cleaning tasks such as baseboards, oven, and refrigerator
  • Clean and maintain humidifiers and air purifiers
  • Organize and rotate toys and activity gear
  • Support with one-off large clean-out and trash haul projects
Inventory & Errands
  • Monitor household supplies and add items to the shared shopping list as you notice things running low
  • Bring packages inside the home
Meal Support
  • Chop fruits and vegetables purchased by the family for easy access throughout the week
  • Clean up after meal prep
Laundry & Linens
  • Put away towels and bedding (family handles washing)
  • Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked
Family Support
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Let in scheduled repair or service professionals as needed
Pet Care
  • Monitor robotic litter boxes and alert family if they malfunction
