Bechtel is delivering the infrastructure, technologies, and fuels to sustainably meet the world’s increasing energy demand. On the US Gulf Coast, we are currently delivering four mega LNG Projects – Corpus Christi Liquefaction, Louisiana LNG, Port Arthur LNG, and Rio Grande LNG.

Job Summary:

Project Location: Sulphur, LA

Pay Range: $32.50 - $36.50 / per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Per Diem: $90 / per day worked.

Responsibilities:

  • Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting all rigging tackle, according to weight and size of load to be moved.
  • Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps.
  • Attaches loads with appropriate rigging tackle to crane hook.
  • Gives directions to Crane Operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handlers, using hand signals, or radio communications.
  • Assists Crane Operator in assembly and disassembly of cranes.
  • Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
  • May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment in ships, railroad cars or trucks, piperacks, laydown yards, structures, compressor decks.
  • Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
  • Plans and coordinates movement of cranes and set up. Air tugger placement and securement, fiar leads for hoist lines.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures.
  • Typically requires 48 months of industrial construction experience.

Requirements:

  • NCCER Advanced Rigging Certification.
  • NCCO Rigging Level 1 and Level 2.
