Position Overview

Bear Lake PT Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Herndon, Virginia. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing top-notch rehabilitative care for our patients, promoting their recovery and improving their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will possess a strong educational background in physical therapy, specifically a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and will play a critical role in our comprehensive rehabilitation facility.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Herndon, Virginia. Your work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week, with variable weekend hours to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ functional limitations and disabilities, developing tailored treatment plans to meet individual needs.
  • Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding patients' continuum of care, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Delivering high-quality patient care by implementing treatment modalities, conducting regular re-evaluations, and educating patients and their families on health management.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary communication, collaborating with referral sources, physicians, and other team members to create and execute patient-centered care plans.
  • Participating in quality initiative projects and community outreach efforts to enhance the clinic's visibility and educational programs.
  • Supervising and guiding support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, Aides, and students, to ensure the effective delivery of care.
  • Investing in continued professional development through attending in-service training sessions, conferences, and self-study to ensure competencies are maintained and enhanced.
