Bear Lake PT Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Herndon, Virginia. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing top-notch rehabilitative care for our patients, promoting their recovery and improving their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will possess a strong educational background in physical therapy, specifically a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and will play a critical role in our comprehensive rehabilitation facility.

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Herndon, Virginia. The clinic is equipped with the latest technology and resources to effectively treat a diverse patient population. Our team works in a supportive, interconnected culture that values open communication and collaboration among staff and interdisciplinary team members. Your work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week, with variable weekend hours to accommodate patient needs.

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ functional limitations and disabilities, developing tailored treatment plans to meet individual needs.
• Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding patients' continuum of care, ensuring effective collaboration and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Delivering high-quality patient care by implementing treatment modalities, conducting regular re-evaluations, and educating patients and their families on health management.
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary communication, collaborating with referral sources, physicians, and other team members to create and execute patient-centered care plans.
• Participating in quality initiative projects and community outreach efforts to enhance the clinic's visibility and educational programs.
• Supervising and guiding support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, Aides, and students, to ensure the effective delivery of care.
• Investing in continued professional development through attending in-service training sessions, conferences, and self-study to ensure competencies are maintained and enhanced.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• BLS Certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems.

While not required, candidates with previous experience in orthopedic settings or specialized treatment methodologies are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with patient management systems and a commitment to continuing education will be beneficial in this role.
