Summary of Position:
RooMaven LLC seeks a skilled, motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Cabinet Assembler with expertise in cabinet making to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality wooden cabinets, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with impact drills, wood glue, brad nailers, clamps, and standard hand tools. The majority of our work involves assembling pre-fabricated cabinetry rather than full manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with other professionals and lead projects from conception through production.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and assemble custom cabinets according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Be familiar and proficient in cutting, edge-banding, drilling, laminating, and finishing components.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand tools and power tools.
  • Apply finishes such as sanding, staining, and varnishing for a polished look.
  • Inspect completed cabinets for quality and accuracy as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to meet project requirements on time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper tool usage.
  • Safely operate carpentry equipment and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of wood types and finishing techniques.

Excepted and Essential Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Proven experience in woodworking and manufacturing, specifically cabinet making.

  • Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in woodworking preferred.
  • Has experience operating a panel saw/beam saw.
  • Has a valid work authorization in the USA.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Woodworker, in cabinetry, and Manufacturing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift or move 35-50 + lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
