TES Staffing is partnering with a leading custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturer in the Syracuse area to identify a Beam Saw Operator to join their growing production team.

Position Overview

The Beam Saw Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process. As the starting point for many projects, this position is responsible for accurately cutting sheet goods and materials according to specifications, ensuring downstream departments receive quality parts on time and ready for fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor beam saw equipment to cut sheet goods and materials according to production specifications
  • Read and interpret cut lists, shop drawings, work orders, and production schedules
  • Verify measurements and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Maintain efficient workflow and production throughput to support manufacturing deadlines
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and daily equipment inspections
  • Identify and communicate equipment issues, maintenance needs, or quality concerns
  • Safely move, load, and handle materials throughout the production process
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure project success
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, woodworking, cabinet-making, millwork, or production environment preferred
  • Experience with beam saws, panel saws, CNC equipment, or related machinery is highly desirable
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work with fractions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday
