Job Title: Epic Beaker Analyst (CP / AP)
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Epic Beaker Analyst with strong Clinical Pathology (CP) expertise to support laboratory workflows for a major healthcare organization.

This role focuses on hands-on build, configuration, production support, and middleware/instrument integration within complex laboratory environments. Candidates must hold Epic Beaker certifications in both Clinical Pathology and Anatomic Pathology and demonstrate solid operational support experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Build, configure, and maintain Epic Beaker (CP and AP) to support laboratory workflows.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, lab technologists, and clinicians to gather requirements and optimize system functionality.
  • Support integration of Beaker with laboratory instruments, middleware, and other Epic applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform system maintenance, and provide end-user and production support for laboratory operations.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
  • Develop documentation, workflows, and training materials for clinical and IT staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Partner with project managers and operational stakeholders to deliver Epic-related initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Configure and support Rules, instrument interfaces, and related Beaker functionality.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field or equivalent experience or undergraduate degree plus 2+ years supporting Epic or other LIS systems in a healthcare environment.
  • Epic Beaker Certification in both Clinical Pathology (CP) and Anatomic Pathology (AP) (required).
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows and compliance requirements (CAP, CLIA, HIPAA).
  • Hands-on experience with production support in complex laboratory environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong Clinical Pathology (CP) experience (highly prioritized).
  • Experience with laboratory middleware and instrument integration (e.g., Data Innovations, SafeTrace/Haemonetics, RALS, Telcor, Novanet, i-STAT).
  • Comfortable with CP, AP, Rules, and Instrument Configuration.
  • Clinical laboratory background as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) — strongly preferred.
  • Prior involvement in Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
  • Additional Epic certifications (Bridges, Orders, Ambulatory, Inpatient, etc.).

About ZipStaff:
