4+ YEARS OF FOREMAN EXPERIENCE IN FIRE SUPPRESSION PIPE FITTING TRADE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

Immediate opening for an experienced fire suppression sprinkler fitter foreman

Falcon is seeking an experienced fire sprinkler foreman in the Detroit area who can command a job site, solve problems under pressure and help drive operational excellence across our projects in the Detroit, Lansing, Jackson, and surrounding areas in Michigan. 
Job Duties, skills & Qualifications:
  • Installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Install, service, and trouble-shooting automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipment
  • Thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, frequently climb ladders, hang pipe, read blueprints, layout, keep clean work area, and use appropriate equipment for any specific job such as tools, lifts, etc.
  • Knowledge of Fire Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Back-flows and Standpipes are required
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Enforcing OSHA, jobsite safety and NAFPCO safety standards
  • Basic Knowledge of NFPA code handbooks
  • must be highly self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Must be able to perform on-site and/or off-site (phone) emergency troubleshooting of sprinkler systems. 
  • Ensure that all projects are done flawlessly
  • Must have standard knowledge in the operation of hand and power tools
  • Must have valid Driver License with a clean record 
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass reference check
  • Must be available to work on nights, weekends, and/or holidays if needed 
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a foreman in fire protection 
  • Formal completion of an apprenticeship or Journeyman program 
  • Prior experience leading crews on large commercial or industrial projects
 
This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and traveling. You must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements on the jobsite. Heavy equipment may be used, and you need to be able to lift heavy objects.

Typical start time:
  • 7AM
Break & Lunch
  • 1 - 15-minute break (9:30 am - 9:45 for all fitters)
  • 1 - 30-minute lunch break unpaid (12 pm - 12:30)
Typical end time:
  • 3:30 PM
Pay Frequency:
  • Weekly- every Friday
 
  • Starting pay rate will be based off work experience
  • $35-$40 starting with evaluation pay increases
