What is a BCBA Contract Hybrid?

A BCBA Contract Hybrid position refers to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) role that is offered on a contractual basis and includes both in-person and remote (hybrid) work components. In this position, BCBAs provide behavior analysis services, oversee treatment plans, and supervise staff, with flexibility to work from home and at client sites or clinics as needed. This arrangement allows for greater work-life balance and adaptability while maintaining high standards for client care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a BCBA Contract Hybrid?

To excel as a BCBA Contract Hybrid, you need a master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field, current BCBA certification, and experience developing and implementing ABA therapy plans. Familiarity with data collection software, electronic documentation systems, and telehealth platforms is typically required for both in-person and remote work. Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and time management skills help you build rapport with clients, collaborate with teams, and manage flexible schedules. These competencies are vital for delivering effective, ethical behavioral interventions and ensuring positive outcomes across various settings.

How does a BCBA Contract Hybrid position typically structure on-site and remote work, and what are the main challenges in balancing both environments?

In a BCBA contract hybrid role, you’ll usually split your time between providing in-person client assessments or supervision and conducting remote tasks such as report writing, telehealth sessions, and team meetings. Balancing these environments requires strong organizational skills, as scheduling can be complex and priorities may shift quickly. One of the main challenges is maintaining consistent communication with both clients and team members across settings, ensuring continuity of care and documentation. However, many find that the flexibility allows for a better work-life balance and a broader range of client interactions.

Job description

Your Future as a BCBA Starts Here - And It’s Looking Bright!

Join a clinician-led organization where every clinical leader between you and our CEO is a BCBA. At Autism Learning Partners (ALP), you’ll get the flexibility, support, and clinical autonomy to focus on what matters most - your clients and families.

Why BCBAs Choose ALP
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Up to 50% telehealth for your in-home cases, plus no required Saturday work.

  • Manageable Caseloads: Clear billable expectations - typically 25–30 hrs/week, confirmed for your region before you accept. No guessing games.

  • Strong Earning Potential: Our attainable monthly bonus can put up to an additional $21,600/year in your pocket - we’ll show you how in your first interview.

  • Clinician-Led, Top to Bottom: 300+ BCBAs strong, with an org chart of nothing but BCBAs between you and our CEO, Dr. Gina Chang, BCBA-D.

As a Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll lead clinical care for your caseload - designing individualized treatment plans, supervising Behavior Technicians and Program Managers, and partnering directly with families to drive real progress. Clinical decisions are guided by what’s best for the client, not red tape. This role is designed for professionals who have earned their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

What We’re Offering:

  • Potential Annual Salary: $82,000-$93,000 based on experience, skills, tenure, and geography

  • Bonus: Our attainable monthly bonus can put up to an additional $21,600/year in your pocket - we’ll show you how in your first interview.

  • Hybrid Flexibility: Build a schedule around a mix of in-person (in-home, school, and/or center-based) supervision and telehealth, including up to 50% remote work for your in-home cases. Monday–Friday, no required Saturdays - you’re in control.

  • Manageable Caseloads: Every caseload is built using our Caseload Summary Tool - balancing therapy hours, supervision needs, and time-of-day scheduling before it ever lands on your plate.

  • 60+ Hours of Onboarding + Ongoing Clinical Support: Comprehensive training in your first 4 weeks (clinical best practices, Central Reach, goal writing, CPT codes, telehealth assessments), plus monthly CEUs, an annual in-house research conference, and weekly office hours with our Clinical Development team.

  • Benefits Highlights: 23 days off annually (15 PTO days, accruing from Day 1, plus holidays including 1 floating holiday), generous health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and employer-paid short-term disability.

  • No Contracts, No Non-Competes: Your employment is fully at-will - we don’t require contracts because we value flexibility and trust. Grow with us on your own terms.

The ALP Difference
  • Career Growth, By the Numbers: A clear promotion path from BCBA → Sr. BCBA → Assistant Clinical Director → Clinical Director → Senior Clinical Director. Our BCBA-certified employees average 4.8 years of tenure, 66 have advanced into a BCBA or higher role since January, and 1 in 7 have been here 10+ years.

  • Support Center Behind You: Client intake, recruiting, payroll, HR, billing, credentialing/contracting, and scheduling are handled for you - so you can stay focused on clinical work.

  • A clear path to make values-based clinical decisions based entirely on what’s best for your client and family.

  • CASP Provider Access: CASP’s full CEU library (75+ approved courses), plus 10 CEUs annually via ALP events like our IMPACT Conference and monthly live sessions.

  • Free 8-hour BACB-approved supervision course for new BCBA certificants.

  • Unlimited referral bonuses (up to $2,500 for Behavior Analyst referrals).

  • Opportunity to partner with our internal DEI council.

  • Study support for BCBA candidates and in-house RBT courses to help ensure your team is fully prepared.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead by Example and Be a Pillar of Support: Inspire and guide Behavior Technicians through effective supervision, ensuring treatment plans are implemented with a high degree of reliability and fidelity.

  • Drive Positive Change: Conduct FBAs and develop innovative ABA programs — continuously evaluating client needs, providing parent education, and problem-solving to help each client reach their potential.

  • Embrace Challenges with Grace: Stay calm and professional in challenging situations, adapt with flexibility, and continuously seek opportunities for growth.

  • Lead with Initiative and Openness: Proactively communicate, take initiative, and welcome learning to create a safe environment for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • Please note that this position is subject to a criminal background check, TB test, Pre-employment Physical Exam, and have or receive immunities to MMR/ VZV during our onboarding, which we will pay for
