Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Business Continuity organization and lead complex, enterprise-wide initiatives focused on Disaster Recovery, infrastructure resilience, business continuity, and technology transformation.

This is a highly technical project management role requiring a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, disaster recovery architecture, technology operations, and organizational transformation. The successful candidate will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, technology leadership, infrastructure engineering, security, application teams, vendors, and executive leadership.

The Technical Project Manager will lead initiatives from strategy and assessment through planning, execution, testing, remediation, and operational transition. This individual must be comfortable working in technically complex environments and have the ability to challenge assumptions, identify dependencies and risks, translate technical concepts for executive audiences, and drive organizations toward measurable improvements in resilience and recoverability.

The successful candidate will provide consultative guidance, technical program leadership, and strategic direction as the organization modernizes its business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

Infrastructure Project Leadership
  • Lead complex infrastructure-focused projects involving compute, storage, virtualization, networking, cloud infrastructure, databases, backup/recovery platforms, data centers, identity services, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage projects involving infrastructure modernization, data center transformation, cloud migration, platform consolidation, technology refresh, and resiliency improvements.
  • Develop integrated project plans incorporating technical workstreams, architectural dependencies, resource requirements, implementation sequencing, testing, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams through design, build, integration, testing, implementation, and transition to operations.
  • Understand technical dependencies across infrastructure layers and identify issues that could affect project scope, schedule, risk, or recovery objectives.
  • Partner with architects and engineering leaders to ensure project deliverables align with enterprise technology standards and target-state architecture.
Business Continuity Consulting & Transformation
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leadership on business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, and technology risk.
  • Assess existing processes, capabilities, technologies, and organizational structures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business continuity requirements into actionable technical initiatives and enterprise transformation roadmaps.
Technical Program & Project Management
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and resource requirements.
  • Establish project governance, steering committees, technical working groups, and executive reporting structures.
  • Develop detailed project documentation, including project charters, roadmaps, RAID logs, dependency matrices, implementation plans, test plans, and executive status reporting.
  • Drive accountability across technical teams and vendors while maintaining focus on business outcomes.
  • Manage complex technical dependencies across multiple concurrent workstreams and organizational boundaries.
  • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical project management experience in complex enterprise technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, infrastructure resilience, or technology resilience programs.
  • Proven history managing large-scale infrastructure-based projects involving multiple technical teams and organizational stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture and technology operations.
  • Experience leading Disaster Recovery assessments, remediation programs, recovery testing, and/or transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RTO, RPO, recovery tiers, recovery dependencies, high availability, backup/recovery, failover, and failback concepts.
  • Experience coordinating infrastructure, application, security, network, cloud, and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical dependencies and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical risks and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, influence without direct authority, and drive cross-functional teams toward measurable outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Risk, or Technology Resilience organization.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud transformation or hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Experience managing data centers, infrastructure modernization, cloud, or technology consolidation programs.
  • Experience with cyber recovery and technology resilience following cybersecurity incidents.
  • Experience working with enterprise backup, replication, disaster recovery, or orchestration platforms.
  • Experience developing enterprise DR strategies and multi-year technology resilience roadmaps.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or risk-sensitive industries.
  • PMP, PgMP, ITIL, CBCP, MBCI, or related professional certification.
  • Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, FFIEC, or similar resilience/risk frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
