COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • The total compensation range is an average of $120k per year with uncapped earnings. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.

JOB PURPOSE:

Outside Sales Representatives focus on meeting the major needs of solar installers by gaining an understanding of the big-picture issues their customer is facing and continue to track their needs over time. They work to find solutions for their customers that incorporate their company's products and services. The Outside Sales Representative role provides customers with technical ins and outs of solar-electric (PV) systems and components, both sold by us and by our competitors, to provide extraordinary business insight anddesign and sales support.


*Ideal candidates would live near one of our distribution centers in Bordentown, NJ, Plano, TX, Pompano Beach, FL, Mesa, AZ, West Boylston, MA


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute sales strategy and action plans in order to achieve business goals and revenue targets.
  • Establish, build and foster meaningful business relationships within your region in collaboration with other team members.
  • Participate in sales blitzes and other sales and marketing events in order to produce impactful results.
  • Accountable for decisions that support BayWa inventory health and customer needs (win/win deal making)
  • Recognize the scope of our services and the uniqueness of the methods, products and systems we employ to better drive customer partnership and retention.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors in the market.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and operations team in the region to demonstrate the resources and expertise of BayWa to clients during the sales process to ensure confidence in the value and competence of the team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least two years of previous sales experience, preferably in B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of success in outsides sales and/or B2B sales.
  • Deep understanding of the solar industry and the products currently on the market.
  • Technically and digitally competent.
  • Able to legally work in the U.S.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Comfortable with CRM software - checking inventory, logging activities, etc.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position will require 10 - 30% travel within your region.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, use repetitive motion, type, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
