Job description


Job Title: Student Worker - LRC Student Assistant - BC
Job Classification: Business Operations, Student - BC
Department: School of Education
Hiring Manager: Pamy Voyles

Work Schedule: Varies by student, anywhere from 5-20 hours/wk. Sunday 2:00pm-9:00pm, M-Th 7:30am-9:00pm, Friday 7:30am-3:00pm, Closed Saturday
Desired Length of Employment: ongoing as needed
Pay Rate: $9.00/hr
Duties:
Assist patrons with finding resources as needed
Assist patrons in utilizing equipment in the Media Lab as needed
Check in/out resources to patrons, including faculty, students, and area teachers; ensuring items are returned in their original state and that all components are included.
Re-shelve returned resources during every shift
Check printers and refill paper as necessary.
Answer the telephone in the absence of supervisors
Unlock lab classrooms for Faculty when classes are scheduled.
Periodically check shelves for misshelved items in the assigned section.
Assist with inventory as needed
Check the mail daily
Complete any special projects assigned
Qualifications:
Must be a current Baylor student
Must be on time and willing to work
Effective communicator
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
