Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Molecular Genetics Technologistย II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.ย 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.ย 
  • Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment.ย 
  • ย Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly.ย 
  • Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies.ย 
  • Assist in training new employees as required.ย 
  • Execute other duties as needed.ย ย 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Education:ย 

oย ย  Bachelorโ€™s degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology.

  • Experience:ย 

oย ย  2-4 years of relevantย experienceย OR Masterโ€™s degree with 0-2 years.ย 

Preferred: MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP).
