Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Molecular Genetics Technologist II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly.
  • Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies.
  • Assist in training new employees as required.
  • Execute other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Education:

o Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology.
  • Experience:

o 2-4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 0-2 years.
Preferred: MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP).
