Job description

The Port Charlotte Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), part of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our growing team and provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to America’s Veterans. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice high-quality primary care in a supportive, team-based VA environment—without the pressures of private practice.
Position Overview:
As a Primary Care Physician at the Port Charlotte CBOC within the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, you will deliver longitudinal, whole-person care to an assigned patient panel using the VA’s Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. You’ll focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and care coordination—supported by an interdisciplinary team.

Provide comprehensive primary care to an assigned panel of adult Veterans
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
