Job description

We are seeking a Express Lane Technician to join our team. Along with the typical oil changes, our team will perform brake, tire, alignments, shock/strut, battery and overall fluids, filters and belt replacement services.

Requirements

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Basic maintenance including but not limited to: Tire rotations and Tire replacement, Brake Inspection, Fluid top off, Lubrication services, Batteries, Light bulbs, etc.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of automotive experience
  • Must be a team player and communicate/problem solve to achieve department goals
  • Automotive diagnostics and general familiarity with vehicle operating systems desirable
  • Must have a driver's license and a commercially insurable Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
