Job description

Role Overview
This Maintenance AEM (Automated Equipment Mechanic) position will work both independently and with other members of our maintenance and engineering teams to provide various types of support for equipment in our Battery Pilot and Manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities:
• Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to Mixing, coating, slitting and calendaring equipment equipment (includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics)
• Work with other members of the engineering and operations team to resolve equipment issues
• Perform alignment and adjustments as needed on production equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on a wide variety of equipment
• Utilize hand tools as well as maintenance shop equipment to perform tasks as needed
Required Skills/Experience:
• Highly involved and motivated with a high level of mechanical / electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to change focus based on priorities
• Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical machine drawings
• Controls / PLC experience a plus
• Bridgeport mill , metal lathe and light fabrication experience is a plus
• Significant walking or other means of mobility
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Must have the ability to work individually and with a team as needed
• Good team player - willing to be flexible and work with maintenance trades as needed
• Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work
• Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out process
• Must be able to work in dark-room conditions if needed
• Able to work occasional overtime
• Able to work in a standing position for an extended period of time
• Wear personal protective equipment as required
• Good communication skills for daily interaction with maintenance and operations staff
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday either 5-8 hour or 4-10 hour day shifts.
