Job description

Responsiblities: Batching operator
  • Read issued Batch Record and follow instructions explicitly throughout batching process
  • Pull raw materials from batching staging area (or warehouse), as needed
  • Ensure raw materials are correct (item numbers/names match required in batch record)
  • Ensure raw materials are within expiry and released for use (green tagged)
  • Use, load scales, floor scales and regular scales to weigh raw materials
  • Add raw materials to the batch as indicated by Batch Record
  • Ensure proper procedure is followed regarding documentation of weigh outs, mix
  • times and verifications ensuring everything is labeled with product and lot number
  • Pump bulk product into holding vessels once approved by QC
  • Clean equipment according to procedures
  • Sanitize equipment according to procedures
  • Set up piping, pumps, hoses according to procedures for various activities
  • Operate sit-down fork lift
  • Operate electric and regular pallet jack
  • Proper cleanliness, PPE use and documentation of all activities as required
  • by batch record and other procedures (green sheets, batch record, logbooks)
  • Follow other assigned procedures
  • Additional tasks as trained and assigned by supervisor
