Job Title: Precast Batch Plant Operator
Location: Pottstown, PA
Type: Contract To Hire
Hours: Mid to Second Shift - Hours Vary Based on Production Needs
Overview
The Precast Batch Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batching plant used in the production of precast concrete products. This role involves accurately measuring and mixing raw materials, monitoring plant equipment, and ensuring consistent product quality while adhering to safety and production standards.
Responsibilities
  • Operate the batch plant system to produce concrete mixes in accordance with established mix designs
  • Enter and manage mix data within the batching system with a high level of accuracy
  • Monitor batching operations to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency
  • Maintain and perform routine checks on batch plant equipment, mixer, and batching areas
  • Coordinate with production and quality control teams to meet production schedules and specifications
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and lull loaders (or willingness to learn)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in concrete production, construction, or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience operating batching systems or similar equipment preferred
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to enter and manage data accurately
  • Basic math skills required for batching and material calculations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
