Job description

Essential Functions:

  • Batch chemical components per formula specifications and complete all required documentation
  • Ensure batch quality and integrity, and meet production schedules
  • Assist team member with Hazardous materials in drums, cylinders and bulk tanks
  • Deliver batch samples and required documentation to QA Lab
  • Measure materials with calibrated scales throughout the plant
  • Will be required to work with hazardous materials associated with urethanes and to wear all required PPE including rubber gloves daily
  • Operate a variety of mixing/blending equipment across plant floor as needed
  • Manage formula supply to assigned lines
  • Assist in chemical staging
  • Label product supply lines and blending tanks with batch/line release forms
  • Manage loading and unloading of rail cars
  • Maintain chemicals and tank rotations- hooking hoses to desired pip plumbed to tank
  • Writing receivers on required paperwork on all incoming products
  • Maintain and clean plant facilities, i.e. plant floors, storage areas, mixing/storage tanks, hoses, pumps, etc.
  • Follow established company rules and regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards
  • Follow established company Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Fill and package drum, tote, pail and bulk containers from bulk storage or production tanks
  • Organize various packages for shipping and warehousing.
  • Materials are moved throughout the plant via forklifts, forklift pickers, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience working in manufacturing with Mixer/Blender
  • Self -starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision
  • Possess above average mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • High degree of attention to detail in fast paced environment
  • Forklift certification
