Plant Batch Operator

Pay: $25.00 per hour, located in Fort Pierce Florida

Requirements: Clean background (no felonies), Clean 4 panel drug screen 


Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm some Saturdays required OVERTIME AVAILABLE! 

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Plant Batch Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating batching equipment used to measure, weigh, and mix raw materials for concrete production. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating batch machinery and working in an industrial manufacturing or production environment.

The Plant Batch Operator will ensure all materials are accurately weighed and deposited into the batching system according to production specifications to create quality concrete products for mold pouring.

Core Responsibilities

  • Computerized Batching: Operating automated batch panels to ensure accurate weight, measurement, and consistency of the material being produced.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring mixes to ensure they meet job-site requirements (e.g., concrete slump, strength) and making adjustments.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing daily plant inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and doing minor repairs like replacing valves or clearing stuck gates.
  • Logistics & Inventory: Tracking raw material levels, coordinating deliveries, and managing the flow of trucks in and out of the yard.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforcing OSHA safety regulations, maintaining a clean workspace, and complying with environmental standards

Typical Requirements

  • Education: A High School diploma or GED is generally the only formal educational requirement.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math and measurement skills, and familiarity with heavy mobile equipment (like loaders and forklifts)

  • Forklift or heavy equipment experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Concrete production or precast manufacturing experience
