Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Manager responsible for the daily operations of all back of the house functions for your restaurant and for providing nothing but the finest food for our customers. This includes leadership of all kitchen employees as well as ensuring that all recipes, food preparations and presentations meet Bass Pro Shops specifications and commitment to quality
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Directs and checks the progress of the prep staff and checking for food quality and consistency.
  • Checks all kitchen equipment and setting it up for daily use.
  • Enforces safety and sanitary practices, maintenance and regulatory compliance for the kitchen area.
  • Ensures that operational basics and standards are adhered to with total commitment and passion: includes line checks, testing, training, recipe adherence, window management, cook times, etc.
  • Ensures all SOPs are followed.
  • Ensures that all menu items are made according to recipe and presented in the Bass Pro Shops manner.
  • Supervises the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Manages staffing levels and shift assignments; assisting in hiring and training BOH employees.
  • Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Checks and balances product inventory from previous day of business as well as placing food and supply orders.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: 1+ year Kitchen Management Experience; Knowledge of food and food measurements

Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
