Job Title: Varsity Girls' Basketball Assistant Coach
Dept./School: Athletic Department
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Seasonal (contracted staff)
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Schedule: Monday to Saturday (Flexible)
Location: K-12 Building
Report to: Athletic Director
License/Certification: Valid Ohio pupil activity permit (may be obtained after hire).
Background Check: Acceptable BCI and FBI report.

Coaching Qualities:

  • Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families
  • Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsayโ€™s Law)
Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for issuing, maintaining, and collecting of equipment
  • Supervision of student athletes
Additional working conditions may include:
  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
  • Travels to games and practices:
    • Occasional operation of your own vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
      • mainly to and from home to practice or games
      • majority of the time, school transportation will be provided for away games.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items athletic/sport/gym related materials or equipment. e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment, ball carts, floor mats.
Note: The position is contingent on having enough students signed up to play.
