Job description

Position Summary

Provide professional executive-level management for the Men's Basketball Head Coach ("Head Coach") and support the overall operations of the Men's Basketball program. Exercise independent judgment, leadership, and discretion in managing executive priorities, supervising the flow of information, coordinating projects, and overseeing the internal operations of the Head Coach's Office. Facilitate communication to and from the Head Coach's Office, perform analysis of complex issues to support organizational decision-making, and coordinate staff meetings, information sessions, and trainings. Assist with key operational functions of the Men's Basketball program, including team travel coordination, alumni relations, basketball camp administration, and ticketing initiatives, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient program operations. All responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Athletics Department, University, state, Conference, and NCAA. The position will serve as a member of the departmentโ€™s Senior Staff and perform other duties and special events as assigned by, and in conjunction with, the Athletics Executive Team and Menโ€™s Basketball Sport Administrator(s).

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience & training. (Required)
  • Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles. (Required)
Special Conditions for Employment
  • Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • Driving Record: The position is subject to the California DMV "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  • CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
  • Ability and willingness to work long and odd hours, often weekends and potentially holidays during variety of events and camps/clinics. (Required)
  • 10% Employee may be required to travel for various team activities, including but not limited to: away games.
