Job description

Overview
Performs a variety of CT and radiographic procedures for diagnosis and treatment requiring independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides basic ER and Inpatient bedside care and assistance under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, physician or RN. The CT Tech must be able to function autonomously utilizing medical protocols and advanced skills under the direction of the hospital medical director . The CT tech must be effective with communication, clinical skills, and able to work positively in a high stress environment with patients, peers, families and other internal / external personnel. The CT tech is responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of UF Health ONH and UF Health Shands, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patient's care. In addition to providing diagnostic X-ray and CT images, other duties will be assigned within the scope and licensure of the CT Tech.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements::
• Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technology program which has been accredited by an agency accepted by the ARRT • 1+ years general radiology imaging experience • 1+ years CT experience preferred • CT registered upon hire • Must be able to independently perform all radiographic and CT procedures typically performed in an ED setting

Licensure/Certification/Registration::
Must be registered by the ARRT. Must hold a current license from the State of Florida as a Certified Radiologic Technologist. Must hold CT certification upon hire. Must hold current BLS certification.
