Job description

The HR Clerk is responsible for processing day to day HR tasks. Supports HR Team with miscellaneous functions and provides HR services to employees. This position is the first point of contact for employee issues within the assigned functional areas. The functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to payroll questions, time/attendance, onboarding file management and various clerical duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Initial point of contact between employees and Human Resources
  • Administration and tracking of employee attendance point system
  • Serve as back-up to answer Payroll questions
  • Enter required data into Workday (HRIS) system
  • Clerical duties: maintain department filing system, log HR requests, create and translate memos and postings, sort and distribute mail and faxes, maintain HR expense budget and order office supplies
  • Create employee badges
  • Support New Hire Orientation
  • Support special projects as needed
  • Maintain HR communication boards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Position Skills & Qualifications Desired
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Position Experience Qualifications
  • Previous experience processing payroll
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Workday experience
