Data Entry Clerk

The Michigan Milk Producers Association is a dairy farmer owned cooperative and dairy processor. Founded in 1916, the MMPA serves dairy farmers in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin. MMPA maintains a strong presence within the dairy industry with strategic business relationships through a variety of channels like processing shelf-stable, value added dairy products. MMPA has four member owned processing plants in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, including Superior Dairy and the Middlebury Cheese Company. Products made at MMPA's plants include fluid milk, sour cream, cheese, ultra-filtered milk, cottage cheese, ice cream, butter, nonfat dry milk, cream and condensed skim milk.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to support ERP system data entry within a fast-paced production environment at our Remus, MI plant. This role is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining production, inventory, and operational data in the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft D365. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, inventory, and administrative teams.

SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday - Friday: 10:00AM-6:30PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately enter and update production orders, inventory transactions, and material movements into the ERP system
  • Process bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and work order data
  • Verify production data against source documents (shop floor paperwork, inventory logs, shipping/receiving records)
  • Assist with maintaining item master data, part numbers, and product specifications
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliations
  • Monitor data integrity and report discrepancies to supervisors
  • Generate routine production and inventory reports as needed
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, warehouse staff, purchasing, and accounting to ensure data accuracy
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records in compliance with company policies
  • Adhere to company safety standards and production protocols
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1โ€“3 years of data entry experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365, or similar) preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong data entry speed with minimal errors
  • Basic understanding of production processes and inventory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
